What appears to be desert silverback ferns as seen at the base of large granitic rocks along Montezuma Valley Road just downhill to the south of Culp Valley and uphill to the southwest of Borrego Springs, CA.........March 29, 2011. Note the numerous glands on the stems and upper leaf blad surface of new foliage.
